Privacy Policy

This policy describes how Radius (“we”, “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Radius app. Radius is a nearby chat and profiles product. This version of Radius does not offer paid subscriptions (including Radius+). Last updated September 22, 2026.

Who we are

Radius is operated as an independent app. For privacy questions, account requests, or data access, email yousefx951@gmail.com. You can also delete your account in the app under Settings → Password & account.

Information we collect

Account details you provide (email, password or sign-in with Apple, Google, or TikTok, display name, username, age, bio, photos). Precise location while the app is open, if you allow it, so Nearby can show people around you. We do not collect location in the background. Messages, voice notes, photos, videos, stories, likes, friend requests, blocks, and reports you send or receive. Device information needed to run the app, including push notification tokens if you enable alerts.

How we use information

To create and secure your account, show Nearby people, deliver chats and stories, send the notifications you enable, keep the service safe (spam, abuse, blocking, reports), and operate, debug, and improve Radius. We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your content to train third-party advertising profiles. This launch does not include in-app purchases or subscription billing.

Who we share with

Other users see the profile and content you choose to share (name, photos, bio, stories, messages you send them, and your distance in Nearby if you enable it). A location message also shares the pin you send. Service providers that host Radius, including Supabase (database, auth, storage), Expo (app updates and push delivery), and the map provider used to show that pin. Sign-in providers if you use Apple, Google, or TikTok. We may share information if required by law, to prevent harm, or to enforce these terms.

Permissions

Camera and microphone are used only when you take or record media. Photo library access is used only to save a photo or video you choose. Picking media uses the system picker. Location is requested only while the app is open, for Nearby and optional location messages. Notifications are optional. You can deny or later revoke these in system settings. Denying a permission may disable that feature but you can still use the rest of the app.

Your choices

You can edit your profile, hide yourself from Nearby, control last-seen and read receipts, mute chats, block people, and report abuse. You can delete your account in Settings, which removes your login and associated profile data from our primary databases. Backups and some logs may take a short time to expire. Messages you already sent may remain in the other person’s chat until they delete them or we process a related request.

Retention and security

We keep account and content data while your account is active. Stories expire on the schedule shown in the app. When a chat has disappearing messages turned on, those messages are deleted from our servers after the time both of you chose (24 hours, 7 days, or 90 days). The notice that the timer changed stays in the chat. We use industry-standard hosting and access controls. No method of transmission is completely secure.

Children

Radius is not directed at children. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have, we will delete the account.

International users

Your information may be processed in the country where our hosting providers operate, which may be different from where you live. By using Radius you understand that transfer.

Changes

We may update this policy. We will change the date above and, when required, notify you in the app. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
